60 in '16

In 2016, Alpha Chi Rho (AXP) at Clarkson will reach a significant milestone as we will be celebrating the 60th Anniversary since AXP was founded. On February 18, 1956, the local Omega Epsilon Fraternity became the Zeta Phi Chapter of the National Fraternity of Alpha Chi Rho, becoming the 29th Chapter of AXP at that time. While February 18 is the actual anniversary date, we look to recognize the Chapter's 60th Anniversary during Clarkson's Alumni Weekend of 2016 that will be held from July 14 - 17, with our Alumni Picnic and Celebration planned for Saturday, July 16.

In preparation for this event, we are planning to install a new front walkway with pavers that are engraved with member's names and graduation year. We look to place the engraved bricks together by graduation year. Please click on this link or the picture below to learn more about this project and to be a part of this special endeavor and fund raiser.

Welcome to Alpha Chi Rho at Clarkson University

Zeta Phi Chapter

A little about us ...
Founded in 1956, Alpha Chi Rho (AXP and aka "Crow") is one of the oldest, successful and well recognized fraternities at Clarkson that has a rich history with its members being involved in a variety of activities. AXP has nearly 1,000 alumni and its members have been recognized for their leadership roles on campus and have had more members in leadership positions (Class Officers, Student Senate, Interfraternity Council, Clarkson Union Board, etc.) than any other fraternity over the years. We are actively involved on campus and with other fraternities and sororities and
also participate in several intramural and fraternity sports. We have been recognized with AXP's National Chapter of the Year three times and have a long tradition of participating in Ice Carnival and pleased to say that we have been the grand winner a number of years. Being able to provide back to the Potsdam Community is very important to us and we are thus involved in a number of philanthropy events supporting local charitable organizations. We welcome you to explore our entire Web Site that will provide you a with better understanding of what you can expect as a member of AXP, success stories (Alumni Spotlight) of our alumni and why we believe we have and will continue to enhance the educational experience at Clarkson.
